Loss

So many have had some sort of loss lately. It's kinda scary how many have lost their life whether it be to disease, old age or just down right stupidity. Abby has asked a lot of questions about all the death that has occurred lately. All one can say to an eleven year old, that is quite the worrier, is it was all in God's will & timing. To make things worse, a friend's wife in Jamestown, who Anthony has known all his life, lost her battle with metastatic breast cancer on July 2nd. She was 42 & had two teenagers, Morgan 17 & Gavan 13. She has had breast cancer in the past, but in December she began experiencing terrible headaches. They soon found out that it had spread throughout her body. She went to Vanderbilt & they couldn't do anything for her, so they decided to go to Mexico. They made a couple trips until she couldn't travel anymore. Sitting there looking at her sweet family I just ached for them. Leaving a husband and children behind has got to be the worst part of all of this. I know that it is my biggest fear. That funeral was one of the hardest I've ever had to sit through, with the exception of my Daddy. It made me realize once again how much I need to cherish each day the Lord gives me to enjoy on this earth. I will continue to fight this. As I keep saying...it's all about attitude and faith.
